Refund Policy | Perth Motocross Academy

More than 7 days before the booking date: Full refund, minus 10% any applicable payment processing fees (e.g., Stripe or bank fees) and admin fees.
Between 3 and 7 days before the booking date: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
Less than 3 days (72 hours) before the booking date: No refund, as we reserve coaches, bikes, fuel, and track time specifically for your session.
No-shows or late arrivals (more than 15 minutes): Treated as less than 72 hours' notice – no refund provided.
Insufficient Skills: If, after the mandatory safety briefing, bike familiarization, and initial skills check (e.g., figure-8 and emergency stop), we determine it is unsafe for you to proceed (especially for beginners or kids), we may cancel the hire/session with a full refund or offer the option to convert to a coaching-focused Motocross School session (e.g., 1.5 hours).

We allow one free reschedule if requested at least 72 hours before the original booking date, subject to availability.
Reschedule requests within 72 hours may incur a $50 administration fee, or be treated as a cancellation under the above policy.
Multiple reschedules may require payment of any price differences if the new session is more expensive.

Motocross is an outdoor activity, and sessions generally proceed in light rain. We only cancel for safety reasons (e.g., heavy rain, thunderstorms, extreme heat >30°C, track closure, bushfire alerts via DFES, or smoke/fire hazards in the Pinjar pine plantation).
If we cancel your session due to weather or other unforeseen issues (e.g., mechanical problems, force majeure, or evacuation triggers), you will receive:
- A full refund, or
- A credit voucher for the full amount, valid for 12 months, or
- Free rescheduling to another available date.
We will notify you as soon as possible (usually by phone/text/email) if a cancellation is required.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable but transferable and valid for 12 months from purchase.
Credit vouchers issued due to cancellations have no expiry or are valid for 12 months (whichever is stated at issuance).

Medical issues or emergencies: We may offer a credit or refund at our discretion with supporting documentation (e.g., medical certificate). Participants with back, neck, heart conditions, pre-existing injuries, epilepsy, pregnancy, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs are not suitable and may be refused participation without refund if undisclosed.
Group bookings (4+ people): Custom policies may apply – please confirm at time of booking.

A $250 bond is required from each rider/for each bike upon arrival, collected via pre-authorization or payment using the TPE unit.
The bond covers parts, labor, loss of income over the next rider of the day, and any damage beyond normal wear and tear due to misuse, negligence, or recklessness.
If no issues, the bond is refunded to the original payment method within 2 business days.
In case of damage or breakdown requiring repairs (e.g., chain break or worse), the bond may be partially or fully retained. We reserve the right to increase the bond amount if deemed necessary.

We recommend purchasing travel or activity insurance for added protection against unforeseen circumstances.
