Each hire session includes 30 minutes for admin, bond payment, waiver, gear‑up and a mandatory safety briefing, followed by self‑guided riding time in Pinjar State Forest. This self‑guided motocross hire option is ideal for confident riders, couples and small groups who want to explore the forest at their own pace. Riders can choose Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced zones depending on their skill and confidence. Hire is strictly for riders who already know how to operate a bike independently and can safely manage the controls without ongoing instruction. All participants must complete a mandatory site trial before any bike is released. The instructor checks balance, throttle control, braking, cornering and general awareness to ensure each rider can safely navigate Pinjar’s mixed terrain. If a rider does not meet the minimum safety standard, the bike cannot be provided. First‑time and early riders must upgrade to a guided lesson package to receive proper coaching before entering the trails. Hire bookings remain non‑refundable if a rider fails the assessment, so groups should confirm that all participants have basic riding ability before booking. Pinjar State Forest features a variety of riding zones, from smooth beginner loops to more technical intermediate and advanced sections. After the assessment, the instructor will recommend suitable areas for the group to explore. All hire bikes are GPS‑tracked throughout the session, allowing staff to monitor rider movement and respond quickly if assistance is required. Riders must arrive 15–30 minutes early with valid photo ID and a physical credit card or cash for the security bond. A safety briefing, waiver and gear fitting are mandatory before riding. Full protective gear is supplied, bikes are professionally maintained, and video, photos and drones are welcome where safe and permitted within the forest. Children aged 8+ may participate, and riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also joining the session. This ensures younger riders receive proper supervision, complete the required checks and meet all safety requirements before entering the trails.
